Set Design: Changes in Lighting Arrangements

After our meetings with our set designers, there were some changes that we felt were needed based on the feedback they gave us as well as any changes that they'd suggested.

For our first element they were happy with the idea of the back lights but they questioned the use of red spotlights. The back lights that we would use would already have a warm amber like colour therefore, it would suit the colour scheme. The red spot lights maky not be bright enough so instead of lighting her, they would just create a red tint defeating the point if our intentions.

For the second element with the red infinity wall that we want, if we were to use back lighting, we would be able to see the lights in the frame. Our set designers were happy to comply with the idea but wanted to ensure that we considered how this would end up looking. Instead they suggested that we use side lighting which would still enhance the physical build of the dancers creating a very similar effect but it would mean that we wouldn't see the lights in fram; a suggestion that we found would work a lot better.

For the third element they were happy with the lighting dicisiom that we had made and suggested that we look into using an gobos (a shape placed infront of a light to aid an atmosphereI).
