One of the reasons why a storyboard is so useful is because it's an easy way to share your vision. A storyboard is a visual mock up of you film that allows you to share your ideas with others without any misunderstanding so the idea is clear and visually exciting. When you have a storyboard, you can show people exactly how your video is going to look. This makes it much easier for other people to understand you idea correctly.
Also, when you storyboard , you're essentially setting up a plan for production and post-production because your storyboard includes all the shots you'll need, the order that it'll be laid out in and how the visuals will interact with the song so you know exactly what you'll need to film on the shoot avoiding any chance of forgetting shots and how you'll piece it together according to your vision.
